Almanac is going to Edinburgh! After creating and producing full-length works of genre-defying heart for over 5 years, we are now bringing xoxo moongirl to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
xoxo moongirl tells and important story about overcoming domestic abuse through Almanac's signature blend of dance, circus, and theatre. Magical realism and true events intersect as perfomer/creator Nicole Burgio reckons with her past, confronts her relationships, and flies to the moon to gain new perspective. Featuring live, original music by Barrymore Award Winner Mel Hsu, xoxo moongirl is critically acclaimed and pertinent, and we think it will do very well at the Fringe, where it will be seen by an international audience at the world's largest theatre festival.
But in order to get there, we need your help. We need to raise an additional $7500 to pay for housing, flights, and food to eat while in Scotland for a month. Individual donors have generously agreed to MATCH the first $5,000 in donations, so consider giving now to have your donation go further.
